About Sawa

Sawa House is a rental and collaborative space located in the heart of Plateau Mont-Royal, between Casgrain and De Gaspé streets. This dynamic area is one of Montreal's key creative hubs, where artist studios, small businesses, and various cultural centers converge.

Founded in October 2024 by Mallory Lowe Mpoka, a Cameroonian-Belgian artist and cultural worker, Sawa House addresses a growing need: to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for Montreal's creators.

Rental

The space offers flexible rental options for photo shoots, professional workshops, pop-up shops, and various events, allowing creators to express themselves in an environment conducive to innovation and collaboration.

Collaboration

This project, both social and artistic, aims to nurture the emergence of new creative voices and enrich the diversity of Montreal’s artistic landscape. Sawa House is envisioned as a gathering place for artists, cultural workers, curators and creators from all backgrounds, providing an environment where creativity can thrive freely. The space places particular emphasis on supporting communities that are often marginalized or underrepresented within conventional creative frameworks.
